How to Grow Peanuts at Home: A Step-by-Step Guide 🌱
Step 1: Choose the Right Container 🏺
Peanuts grow best in well-drained soil, so use a container with drainage holes.
A large pot or even a repurposed container like a bucket works great.
Make sure your container is deep enough (about 12-18 inches) to allow the peanut plants to develop their roots.
Step 2: Prepare the Peanuts 🌾
You’ll need raw peanuts with their shells still intact. These can be purchased from most grocery stores or farmer’s markets.
Remove the outer shell and plant the peanut seeds (the raw peanuts) directly in the soil, about 2-3 inches deep.
Step 3: Planting Your Peanuts 🌱
Plant your peanuts in a sunny spot where they will receive at least 6 hours of sunlight per day.
Space your peanuts about 4-6 inches apart in the soil.
Water regularly but avoid overwatering as peanuts don’t like soggy soil.
