Deep Dish Apple Crisp

Instructions

1. Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and set aside.

2. Prepare Apple Filling
In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples, granulated sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Toss everything until the apples are evenly coated. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish.

3. Make Oat Crumble Topping
In a separate bowl, mix the oats, flour, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and cinnamon. Add the cold cubed butter and cut it into the mixture using a pastry cutter or your fingers until crumbly.

4. Assemble and Bake
Sprinkle the oat crumble topping evenly over the apple filling.
Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are bubbling and tender.

5. Serve
Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Delicious on its own, or serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
