How to Make Garlic and Onion Powder

 

Garlic and onion powder are simple homemade seasonings that allow you to always have these essential ingredients ready to use. Instead of relying on store-bought versions, you can make them at home by slowly drying fresh garlic and onions in the oven, then blending them into a fine powder.

Ingredients

  • 2 whole heads of garlic
  • 2 red onions

How to Prepare Garlic and Onion Powder
1. Prepare the garlic
Separate the garlic cloves and peel them.
Slice them thinly into even pieces.
Spread them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
Bake at 160Β°C (320Β°F) for about 50 minutes, until fully dried.
