“The Road of Life”
In a quiet little village, there lived a simple man named Youssef with his elderly mother, Hajja Khadija. Every morning, before the sun rose, they would wake up to water their crops and gather the fresh produce from their small field. Then, they carefully arranged the vegetables and fruits on a small wooden table by the roadside.
Beside them stood Rex, their loyal dog, watching the passersby with bright eyes — as if greeting every soul that crossed his path. 🐶
They never expected to make much money. All they wanted was to live with dignity. Youssef would often say with a gentle smile:
“We’re simple farmers. We don’t have much, but a kind word or a small smile from someone passing by… means the world to us.”
The road in front of their house was almost always empty, with only a few cars passing now and then. Yet, every time someone stopped to buy a few potatoes or a handful of carrots, they would sit for a short chat, laugh together, and leave with warmth in their hearts.
