Step 4 – Assemble the Moussaka

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a baking dish, layer roasted eggplant slices at the bottom.
  3. Add a layer of zucchini.
  4. Spread the meat sauce evenly on top.
  5. Add another layer of eggplant and zucchini if desired.
  6. Pour béchamel sauce over everything, spreading evenly.
  7. Sprinkle with grated cheese.

Step 5 – Bake

  • Bake for 40–45 minutes until the top is golden and bubbling.
  • Let it cool for 15 minutes before slicing to help it set.

Serving Suggestions

Serve Moussaka warm with a fresh Greek salad, crusty bread, or tzatziki on the side. It also reheats beautifully, making it perfect for meal prep.
