Step 4 – Assemble the Moussaka
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a baking dish, layer roasted eggplant slices at the bottom.
- Add a layer of zucchini.
- Spread the meat sauce evenly on top.
- Add another layer of eggplant and zucchini if desired.
- Pour béchamel sauce over everything, spreading evenly.
- Sprinkle with grated cheese.
Step 5 – Bake
- Bake for 40–45 minutes until the top is golden and bubbling.
- Let it cool for 15 minutes before slicing to help it set.

Serve Moussaka warm with a fresh Greek salad, crusty bread, or tzatziki on the side. It also reheats beautifully, making it perfect for meal prep.
