Slow cooker braised green beans

Ingredients
2 pounds fresh green beans
4 cups chicken broth
3 cups water
1 cup cooked bacon, roughly chopped (about 1 pound before cooking)
1 clove garlic, minced
1 small sweet onion, finely diced
1½ teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon pepper
Directions1. Prepare the green beans by washing them under cold running water. Snip off both ends and cut the beans in half.
2. Add all ingredients into a 5- or 6-quart slow cooker.
Start with the wet ingredients: chicken broth and water.
4. Serve with a slotted spoon to prevent too much liquid from pooling on the plate.
