🍲 Gumbo Recipe
Ingredients:
½ cup vegetable oil
½ cup all-purpose flour
1 large onion (chopped)
1 bell pepper (chopped)
2 celery stalks (chopped)
3 garlic cloves (minced)
1 lb chicken thighs (cut into pieces)
1 lb smoked sausage (sliced)
4 cups chicken broth
2 cups water
2 bay leaves
1 tsp thyme
1 tsp paprika
½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)
Salt and black pepper (to taste)
1 cup okra (sliced, optional)
2 cups cooked white rice
Green onions & parsley (for garnish)
