Eat Me Dumb Salad – ready in 10 minutes, so healthy

Preparation:

Pour the corn with its liquid into a large bowl. The liquid provides a nice base flavor for the dressing.

Add the diced cooked ham and shredded Edam cheese. Make sure to use shredded (matchstick-style) cheese – grated cheese tends to disappear in the salad and doesn’t give you the desired texture.

Finely chop the chives and add them to the bowl as well.

Mix the dressing directly in the bowl by adding mayonnaise, vinegar, and oil. Stir everything thoroughly until well combined.

Season with freshly ground black pepper. Salt is usually not necessary, as the ham and cheese already bring plenty of flavor.

Let the salad sit in the fridge for at least 2 hours. This allows the flavors to blend and makes the salad especially delicious.

Serving Tip:

This salad tastes best well chilled, served with fresh baguette or as a side dish to grilled meat.
It’s perfect for summer evenings, picnics, or even as a filling lunch idea at the office.
