Did you know that your washing machine can also dry your clothes? A feature that many people are still unaware of.

Imagine this: you have an important meeting in an hour, but your favorite pants are still soaking wet. Outside? It’s pouring rain. And you? You don’t have a dryer, and you certainly don’t want laundry hanging all over your home. Panic stations? Not at all! What few people know is that your washing machine, even if it doesn’t have a built-in drying function, can save the day in a flash…
When humidity sets in: how to prevent laundry from languishing for days.
In winter, drying clothes becomes a real headache. Between sunless days, endless rain, and that clinging cold, drying even a simple pile of t-shirts becomes mission impossible. What’s more, hanging laundry indoors when the air is already saturated with humidity can quickly turn into a nightmare: unpleasant odors, musty-smelling clothes, or even mold growth on the walls… And using the radiator? Bad idea. Not only does this increase the bill, but it does nothing to improve the ambient air quality.

Fortunately, there is an ultra-simple method to speed up drying, without investing in a bulky device.

The magic trick of drying a towel in the drum

Here’s a little-known but effective technique: after washing, put your clothes back in the washing machine with… a large, clean, and completely dry bath towel. Then run a quick spin cycle, ideally at the highest speed. The result? The towel acts like a giant sponge and absorbs the excess moisture from your clothes. In just a few minutes, they’ll be almost dry!

For this trick to work perfectly, be sure to use a highly absorbent towel (avoid very thin microfibers) and don’t overload the drum. Leave enough space so everything can rotate freely. It’s incredibly easy and really useful in an emergency!
